Melanie Cawthon

Melanie Cawthon is the Co-Founder & Executive Director for disABILITYsa. Melanie co-founded disABILITYsa in 2007 as a collaborative effort to support individuals living with disabilities in the San Antonio community. She has over 19 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with 14 of those working for organizations serving individuals with disabilities. Melanie earned her Bachelors of Business from the University of Texas in San Antonio, Master's in Nonprofit Management from Our Lady of the Lake University and is a Certified Nonprofit Professional. Melanie lead the disABILITYsa organization through the process of incorporating and becoming a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 2016 and serves the San Antonio community in her work to educate, advance, and engage individuals living with disabilities by sharing information, creating opportunities and strengthening the organizations that serve them.
