The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival Intern

Title: Intern- Event Production

For the past 18 years, we have produced The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival every April. Hosting over 200 fine artists from around the world along our waterway, the event is our largest fundraiser for our Student Art Scholarship Program, Microgrant Program, and Public Art Program.

Job Summary:

Working with the Festival Operations Coordinator and Events Coordinator, this intern will learn how our community comes together, coordinating volunteers, logistics efforts, and venue setup and breakdown at the nationally recognized Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival in The Woodlands Texas. We are 35 miles North of Houston and 14 miles South of Conroe.
  • Up to a 10-hour/week (flexible timing) commitment beginning mid-January
  • Must be a college student or recent college graduate
  • All festival interns are required to work at The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival April 12-14, 2024
  • $500 Stipend
  • Application closes November 30

Galveston Historical Foundation is Hiring!

Title: Manager of Events and Programs

Job Summary: GHF’s Manager of Foundation Events and Programs oversees multiple levels of organizational outreach through the implementation of ongoing programs at GHF sites (including Saengerfest Park, Hendley Green, Galveston Historic Seaport, 1892 Bishop’s Palace, etc.), creative thematic programming throughout the year (Juneteenth, 1900 Storm, etc.), and the direction of cornerstone events (Dickens on The Strand, Galveston Historic Homes Tour, Galveston Island Beach Revue, etc.).

Title: Volunteer Coordinator (dates/times to be determined)

Job Summary: The Volunteer Coordinator position is part-time within Galveston Historical Foundation’s GHF Events Corporation and recruits, cultivates, and maintains Galveston Historical Foundation’s volunteer force. These volunteers are pivotal to the success of organizational events (Dickens on The Strand, Galveston Historic Homes Tour, Tall Ships Galveston, etc.) and programs (Paint Pals, warehouse management, etc.).
